Budapest will host the World Athletics Championships in 2023. More than 2,000 athletes from over 200 countries will come to Hungary to celebrate the queen of sport and take part in the third largest sporting event in the world at the Budapest Sports Arena.
World Athletics Championships 2023 Schedule
The 9 days of the 19th World Championships in Athletics will take place between 19-27 August in Budapest. The first event of the championships will be a 20 km race walk, with events taking place throughout the day. The opening ceremony’s going to start at 6pm. The event will conclude with the 4 x 400m relay.
