Top Tips for Visiting Disneyland Paris

We’ve now been back from Disneyland Paris for a week so it seems like the perfect time to share our tips on having an amazing trip to the park.

Here’s everything we learned so you can have your own magical trip!

1. Arrive Early

This is my golden rule for theme parks but it 100% applies to Disney! Get to the park half an hour before opening so you are ready to get in when they open. Head to the big rides you really want to do, there will usually be much shorter queues than at any other time of day.

2. Soak up the Magic

One of the things we loved about Disney was how wonderful a place it was to just be. Whether you are exploring the castle or shopping on Main Street, being in the park is magical in and of itself so make time to soak it all up.

3. See the Shows

The shows at Disneyland Paris are world renowned. Make sure to head to both parks and see as many shows as you can! The Lion King was truly spectacular and we also loved Pixar Together and Mickey and the Magician. Arrive at least half an hour before to make sure you get a space.

4. Consider your accommodation options

We stayed offsite at Disney and this saved us A LOT of money! It also meant we had a full apartment to stay in and could extend our stay to allow us to explore Paris too. If you see looking for off site accommodation then Serris is a great option and walkable to the park.

5. Stay for the Parade

The main parade at Disneyland Paris is at 5:30pm and it is well worth waiting for. The park comes alive with incredible floats and all your favourite characters. We were blown away.

A bonus tip..food is pricey in the park and not the best quality (except for the Mickey cookies, they were next level amazing!) If you are staying off site then pack some snacks/sandwiches in your bag each day and consider heading into Disney Village where there is a Five Guys (or McDonald’s) if you are staying for dinner.
