If your little ones are anything like mine, they’re bursting with energy and constantly on the hunt for their next big adventure. Lucky for us, Woking is packed with some fab playgrounds where the kids can climb, swing, and slide to their hearts’ content. I’ve rounded up my top 10 picks. Grab a coffee, pack some snacks, and let’s dive into Woking’s best playgrounds.

Woking Park – Kingfield Road, Woking, Surrey, GU22 9BA

Woking Park Play Area is an amazing jungle themed playground with lots of wooden play equipment, slides and swings. There’s a large sandpit and water play area so don’t forget your bucket and spade on a sunny day. The playground sits on the edge of Woking Park, a with 43 acres it’s beautiful to explore.

Loop Road Playground – Loop Road, Woking, Surrey, GU22 9BQ

Hidden away in a quiet residential street, you wouldn’t even know that this gem existed. An impressive low facility playground with no blind spots, so easy to watch multiple children during your visit. This is also wheelchair friendly and lots of equipment is easily accessible. Lots of exciting and challenging climbing structures for them to enjoy.

Jelly Way Jelley Way, Woking, Surrey, GU22 9FT

With the River Wey situated just behind Jelley Way Park in Working it is in a beautiful location, and a stroll on a dry day makes it a perfect place for a walk. A magnificent wooden play area, split into two areas so older children can also enjoy and younger children also but safely enclosed with the park perimeter. This was a welcome sight as lots to explore and climb on.

Send Playground – Sandy Lane, Send, Surrey, GU23 7EY

Just south of Woking, this park is great for younger children.  It’s fully enclosed and safe for the little ones to run around in and explore.They have all the usual play facilities with the added extras of a basket ball and tennis court. Plus lots of green space to practice your scooter and bike riding skills too.

Ripley Green Recreation – The Green, Ripley, Surrey, GU23 6AL

Nestled within the picturesque village of Ripley, this playground has alot to offer. With lots of climbing frames, swings, interactive play equipment, and ample green areas to explore – its the perfect place to burn off some energy.

Byfleet Recreation Park – Rectory Close, Byfleet, West Byfleet, Surrey, KT14 7LS

 

Like a scene from Peter Pan, Byfleet Recreation Ground and Play Area has a pirate shipwreck with a grinning crocodile lurking nearby. You can almost hear the tick-tock…The park is fantastic for the little ones as around the pirate ship there is sand which they can play in, and also water channels which provides endless amounts of fun.

Clews Lane Park – Pilgrims Way, Bisley, Woking, Surrey, GU24 9DQ

Clews Lane park is a large secure play area which has a lot of variety for children of all ages, and the location is perfect as one side is sheltered by trees which provides much needed shade during the warmer days. There are baby swings, a basket swing and also older swings to play on, musical bars where the children can bang on them and make music. There is a large spiral slide which isn’t for the faint hearted, for smaller children there is a smaller climbing frame with a separate slide.

Brooklands Community Park and Skate Park – Sopwith Drive, Weybridge, nearest postcode KT13 0YU

Brooklands Community Park is quite unique. The birthplace of British motor sport, where in 1907, wealthy landowner Hugh Locke King built the world’s first purpose-built circuit and hosted the first British Grand Prix, and to this day you can still see some of the remaining track. With a natural playground in the woods, a concrete playground, skate park and bike tracks – there is alot to keep you entertained here.

Chobham Recreation Ground – Station Road, Chobham, Woking, Surrey, GU24 8AJ

The recreation ground provides a large open, green space in the heart of the village, and is used throughout the year for relaxation, sport and play. There is an impressive wooden ship which they can explore, traditional park facilities, zip wire, and a huge slide. Just outside of the playground there is a selection of gym equipment.

Churchfield Playground – Churchfields Avenue, Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 9Y

A playground which caters for a range of different ages, there is something which will appeal to younger and older children. From climbing structures, swings, sand pit, sea saw, sand a skate park – there is alot to do here. Also in the summer months there is a paddling pool and lots of open green space to kick a ball about.
