Every summer, children’s mentoring company Oppidan Education heads out into the wilderness for four days of alfresco adventure. This year’s summer camp will run from the 10th to 13th July at the beautiful Culden Faw Estate in Henley, and is set to be bigger and better than ever before.
Kids experience the joys of outdoor adventure in its purest form, sleeping in bell tents and enjoying a raft of amazing activities. To name a few:
- Open air cinema
- Sourdough pizza truck
- Laser quest
- Live music
- Waterslide
- Arts & craft tent
- Financial literacy with Ruffer
Amid the fun and games, the camp’s mission is to instil the confidence and independence in children to make the most of these opportunities. Living and collaborating with their peers and Oppidan’s mentors, kids at camp develop the skills for life’s next steps.
So, who’s in charge? Oppidan’s two camp leaders are the head honchos, dealing with all the logistics and ensuring safeguarding procedures are looked after. Next is the tribe of mentors, a young, fun team of rockstars that keep the kids happy and entertained from dawn until dusk. For any wellbeing concerns, Oppidan has medics and matrons on site, as well as trained chefs that serve delicious, hearty food four times a day.
