Senior school students at award-winning, independent day and boarding school LVS Ascot located on London Road, performed an outstanding double bill production featuring a play and musical from the 8th of December through to the 10th of December at the fully equipped on-site theatre.
Auditions took part in September, with students dedicating a huge amount of time rehearsing at the weekends and after school ever since. A cast of over 30 students took part in the production and did a fantastic job learning and performing the original music played by the band. The phenomenal lighting and design for both shows was put together by sixth form students.
Jessica Clark, Head of Performing Arts and Drama said “Both shows offered the students different challenges and opportunities and all the students involved rose to the challenge. All performances of the show were well received by audience members of all ages. Year 7-9 students were given the opportunity to watch as they have their own production in March, and I know they were inspired by what they saw. We are very proud of all the hard work the students and production team put in to making this possible”.
Set in 25-acres of parkland, LVS Ascot is an all-ability, independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 4 to 18. Open days held throughout the year are an ideal opportunity to meet with Christine Cunniffe the principal and take a student-led tour around the stunning 26-acre campus.
