Wildflower Meadow at Bunkers Hill Nursery
26 July, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 26 August, 2021 @ 5:00 pm
£2Walter’s Meadow with all it’s wonderful wildflowers is now open at Bunkers Hill Nursery just outside Oxford.
Raising money for BBOWT – Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife trust! They are dedicated to “restoring nature across these beautiful counties and empowering people to connect with their local wildlife”.
At the back of the nursery through a little wooden gate step back in time to over 100 years ago when the view of a meadow was commonplace.
A field that was up until recently farmland, has been transformed into a grass & wildflower meadow called Walter’s Meadow – named after the water tower that watches over it.
Sadly in the UK we have lost around 97% of our wildflower meadows.
