Find when all the Christmas lights are being switched on across Berkshire in 2023.  Many of the events combine with a visit a Berkshire Santa’s grotto, food stalls and lots more fun.

If you’re after a magical illuminated trail there are some amazing events happening around Berkshire and beyond too and of course lots of Christmas events coming up too.

Christmas Lights Switch On in Berkshire 2023

Thursday 16th November

• Eton Christmas lights switch with entertainment, carol service, procession and Father Christmas

Friday 17th November

• Slough Christmas lights switch on with live entertainment and a few surprises.

Saturday 18th November

• Newbury Christmas lights switch on festival is a free family focused day long festival
• Reading Christmas lights switch on promises an evening filled with captivating performances, festive tunes and a pantomime dame.
• Windsor Christmas lights are switched on with the majestic Windsor Castle as the backdrop, there will be a programme of live entertainment throughout the day.

Saturday 25th November

• Maidenhead Christmas lights switch on starts with a festive market and entertainment and the lights switch-on is followed by a fireworks display.
• Woodley Christmas lights switch on with carols from Woodley Concert Band.
• Sandhurst Christmas lights switch on
• The Lexicon in Bracknell Christmas lights switch on with an afternoon of entertainment

Sunday 26th November

• Wokingham Winter Carnival will have  a whole host of street entertainers, music, singing, dancing and the fun of the fair with loads of different rides, whether you’re young or old.

Thursday 30th November

• Binfield Christmas lights switch on will take place at Foxley Field from 6pm to 7pm

Friday 1st December

• Thatcham Christmas lights switch on will also have festive stalls, entertainment and Santa on his sleigh.
• Sunningdale Christmas lights switch on

Saturday 2nd December

• Winnerish Christmas lights switch on
• Datchet’s Christmas on the Green event includes lots of entertainment, Christmas marketing stalls and the turning on of the Christmas tree lights.
• Spencers Wood Christmas tree lights switch on

Friday 8th December

• Hungerford Christmas Victorian Extravaganza  with the Christmas lights switch on, lantern parade and entertainment (Hungerford) 8th Dec
