This stage adaptation, originally presented by the Royal Shakespeare Company, premiered at the Barbican Centre in London, starring Imelda Staunton as Dorothy and featured Bille Brown as the Wicked Witch of the West, Paul Greenwood as the Scarecrow and John Bowe as the Tin Man. Imelda Staunton’s husband, Jim Carter (of Downton Abbey fame) played the Cowardly Lion.
With the Creative Team of Director Jake Turnell Willett, Associate Musical Directors Amy Bingham and Neil Matthews and Choreographer Kim Coulson this promises to be a splashy, spectacle – driven, fun extravaganza suitable for all ages, which should not be missed.
