FreeThe Newbury Festival of Lights is stunning free and unticketed winter event that brings the community together. The Festival of Lights will take place on Sunday 11th December.
Soak up the atmosphere and watch the hundreds of twinkling lanterns as the procession travels through Newbury town centre.
This popular winter event brings together the local community to celebrate the festive season.
What time is the Newbury Festival of Lights?
Lantern holders will gather at the clock tower on Northbrook Street from 4pm, ready for the candle-lit procession to begin at 4.30pm.
The parade travels along Northbrook Street, accompanied by live music from the Reading based community Samba band, Beatroots, before culminating in the Market Place with more live music. Amidst the sea of sustainably made pyramid lanterns, spectators will spot some spectacular, large, intricate shaped lanterns constructed at the popular Lantern Making for the Brave sessions.
