This Saturday 2 July is Alice’s Day 2022! A free family festival celebrating Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with activities at venues across Oxford.

Alice’s Day, The Story Museum‘s city-wide celebration of all things Alice in Wonderland, is back. There will be theatre, puppetry, crafting, trails, dance, games, lectures and more!  It’s a packed programme and all events are free unless otherwise stated.

THE STORY MUSEUM

For one weekend only a chance to walk up the red carpet and have yourself announced by our much-loved Talking Throne!
11:00-16:00 Queens and Kings: Make and Take
Get creatively crafty with a free wonderland character make and take in our Magic Common Room, inspired by Hogwarts

Discover Queens and Kings of Wonderland in a trail through Oxford’s Covered Market and other historic venues. Get your map stamped, and return to The Story Museum for your prize!

11:00-16:00: A Mad Tea Party presented by the Oxford Festival of the Arts and Fairtrade at St Michael’s
Come dressed as your favourite Wonderland character and take a seat at the Mad Tea Party. Meet Wonderland characters, learn about Fairtrade, make a mini tea pot, face painting and more from Fairtrade St Michaels, The Oxford Festival of the Arts and The Story Museum.

Play party games with giant Alice and the amazing talking flowers.

12:00-17:00: Photographing Wonderland Gallery Activities
Gallery activities inspired by Lewis Carroll’s photograph of Queen Eleanor and Fair Rosamund in our collection.

12:30 & 13:30, Lucy Walters Storytelling
“My name is Alice, so please your Majesty.” Join Lucy Walters as we step through the story door into Wonderland.

ST FRIDESWIDE’S CHURCH

All Day, Frideswide Church’s 150th-anniversary exhibition and Alice-themed book sale
Book sale cash only please. Plus refreshments at the nearby West Oxford Community Centre Café
